Emotional Intelligence for People Who Were Never Taught Mini Course
About Course
Emotional Intelligence for People Who Were Never Taught
Many adults were raised in environments where emotions were ignored, minimised, punished, or misunderstood. Some were taught to stay strong. Others learned to stay quiet. Many learned to think their way out of feelings instead of understanding them.
As adults, this often shows up as confusion, emotional overwhelm, difficulty communicating needs, or feeling “too emotional” or “not emotional enough.” Emotional intelligence is often talked about as if it is a personality trait, something you either have or do not. In reality, it is a learned skill, and many people were simply never taught.
This course does not assume immaturity or lack of insight. It assumes missing education. The goal is not emotional control or constant calm, but emotional literacy, the ability to recognise, understand, and respond to emotions with clarity rather than shame.
This is a foundation course, not a therapy replacement, and not a relationship fix. It is about building language and awareness where there may have been silence.
