WORK WITH ME

1:1 coaching

neuroscience-based coaching for emotional exhaustion, overwhelm, and nervous system patterns.

For when you’re ready for something more personal.

This is where the deeper work happens. Not a script. Not a programme you’re pushed through. A real conversation, at a pace that works for your nervous system, your life, and what you’re actually carrying.

Together, we explore the patterns underneath the overwhelm, the adaptations your brain and nervous system have learned over time, and the ways you’ve had to survive, cope, protect yourself, or keep functioning, even when those patterns have started costing you emotionally, mentally, or physically.

This is not about “fixing” you.

It’s about helping you understand yourself differently, so change stops feeling like a constant battle against who you are.

My approach combines neuro coaching, neuroscience-based coaching, nervous system awareness, and trauma-informed support to help you better understand:

  • emotional exhaustion
  • burnout patterns
  • emotional shutdown
  • overwhelm and stress responses
  • people-pleasing and survival patterns
  • Why do certain cycles keep repeating
  • Why rest does not always feel restorative

We work together online, one session at a time. Some women come for support through a specific season of life. Others stay longer for deeper ongoing work. There is no pressure to decide that upfront.

If you’re wondering whether this is right for you, the best place to start is a free conversation call. No assessment. No sales pitch. Just a chance to talk and see if it feels like a fit.

What to Expect

  • Sessions take place online via Google Meet
  • Each session lasts approximately 60 minutes
  • You do not need to prepare anything beforehand
  • Coaching is collaborative and paced around your capacity
  • This is not therapy or crisis support, but it can work well alongside therapy

Workshops

Structured neuroscience-informed support for specific seasons of life.

Wired to Shift is an in-person neuroscience-based workshop designed for secondary school students navigating pressure, overwhelm, emotional stress, and the kind of exhaustion that doesn’t always have a name.

Students are often told to “cope better” without ever being taught what stress, anxiety, emotional overwhelm, or nervous system dysregulation actually look like in the brain and body.

This workshop helps students understand:

  • How stress affects the brain and nervous system
  • Why emotional overwhelm can impact focus, motivation, and learning
  • How survival patterns develop
  • Practical tools for emotional regulation and resilience
  • How to recognise pressure before reaching burnout

The goal is not perfection or performance.

The goal is to help students better understand themselves, so they can respond differently to what they’re carrying.

Wired to Shift is currently in pre-launch and will be available to schools in the Johannesburg area.

If you’re a school, educator, or parent interested in bringing this workshop to your school, get in touch, and I’ll let you know when bookings open.

Wired to Shift – Parent Workshop

A neuroscience-informed workshop for parents who want to better understand their child’s emotional world, and their own.

This workshop explores:

  • emotional regulation in families
  • nervous system patterns at home
  • stress, overwhelm, and emotional shutdown
  • communication during conflict
  • how children adapt to pressure emotionally
  • practical ways to create more emotional safety at home

Built on the same neuroscience-informed foundation as the coaching work, this workshop is designed to help parents move beyond behaviour management alone and better understand what may be happening underneath the surface.

Pathways

Self-paced neuro coaching pathways for when you’re not ready to talk yet.

Sometimes you need to understand something before you can speak it out loud.

The ShiftEd Minds Pathways are self-paced learning experiences built around how the brain, nervous system, and emotional patterns actually work, designed so you can move through them quietly, in your own time, and without pressure.

These are not generic self-help modules or productivity courses.

They are built from the same neuroscience-informed foundation that underpins every coaching session, just in a format you can access privately, on your own terms.

Through guided reflections, neuroscience-based learning, nervous system education, and practical emotional awareness tools, each pathway is designed to help you:

  • understand emotional patterns more clearly
  • recognise survival responses and coping adaptations
  • make sense of emotional exhaustion and burnout
  • understand why certain cycles repeat
  • Work with your brain rather than constantly against it

You do not need to know where to start. Each pathway is designed to meet you where you are and guide you from there.

The Blog

The things that often go unspoken:

  • Why exhaustion doesn’t always disappear with rest
  • Why certain emotional patterns repeat
  • Why stress responses can feel impossible to switch off
  • Why high-functioning overwhelm is often misunderstood
  • How nervous system patterns shape the way we think, react, cope, and relate

The blog combines neuroscience-informed education, emotional insight, and practical reflection to help you better understand yourself without shame.

Questions People Often Ask

No.

Many women arrive here feeling emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or stuck in patterns they cannot fully explain yet.

You do not need perfect clarity or the “right words” before starting. Part of this work is helping you make sense of what you’ve been carrying.

Sessions are conversational, reflective, and practical.

Together, we explore the patterns underneath what you are experiencing, including stress responses, emotional overwhelm, nervous system adaptations, and repeated emotional cycles.

There is no pressure to perform, “get it right,” or have everything figured out beforehand.

The goal is not perfection. It is understanding, clarity, and creating change that feels sustainable rather than forced.

No.

ShiftEd Minds is a neuroscience-informed coaching practice, not a therapy or medical service.

This work focuses on helping you better understand how your brain, nervous system, emotional patterns, and survival responses may be shaping your experiences, behaviours, relationships, and exhaustion levels.

Many women choose to do this work alongside therapy.

Many women who come here are carrying long-term emotional exhaustion, overwhelm, burnout, or nervous system fatigue.

Often, the issue is not laziness, weakness, or lack of motivation. It is that the brain and body have spent a long time operating in survival mode.

Neuroscience-based coaching helps make those patterns visible, understandable, and more workable over time.

1:1 coaching sessions currently take place online via Zoom.

This allows you to access support from your own environment, wherever you are.

Workshops may be offered in person depending on the programme and location.

There is no fixed timeline.

Some women come for support through a specific season of life. Others stay longer for deeper ongoing work and nervous system pattern awareness.

We work one session at a time, without pressure to commit to a long-term programme upfront.

Many people who arrive here have already tried multiple approaches and still feel like something important has been missing.

Often, they are highly self-aware people who understand logically what they “should” do, but still find themselves emotionally exhausted, overwhelmed, or repeating the same patterns underneath.

Sometimes the missing piece is not more effort.

Sometimes it is understanding how the brain and nervous system adapted in the first place.

Yes.

This work is approached with an understanding that emotional overwhelm, chronic stress, survival patterns, and past experiences can deeply affect how people think, cope, respond, and relate to themselves.

The focus is not on shame or forcing change.

It is on creating understanding, emotional safety, and sustainable growth.
